How to reach Homoki Lodge with a car?
Homoki Lodge is located in secluded natural area and can be reached safely via sand roads. We strongly advice to follow our driving directions. Your GPS might not always find the best track. In case you prefer to be picked up, please get in touch about transfers.
How to access the accommodations?
The different accommodations radiate in various directions between 30 and 70 meters distance to the reception. They are all located at the Homoki Lodge – Nature Quest property, approximately a 2-4 minutes walk from the reception. There are associated parking areas close to each of the accommodations. The walks are easy, most of them are on “homok”, now they have learned their first Hungarian word which means sand! There is one easy access Yurt with a private parking level next to the private entrance available.
How are the accommodations heated or cooled?
Homoki Yurts are equipped with full air-condition and under floor-heating. Homoki Residence and Homoki Rooms are built from natural materials like adobe mixed with straw, acacia tree and wild growing reed were exclusively used for the authentic reconstruction of the estate. The combination of these materials are providing a natural insulation against heat or cold, therefore at high summer temperatures there is no need of air condition. This accommodations are fitted with central heating systems for during cooler days.
Is there a bathroom in my accommodation?
All accommodations are equipped with én suite fully fitted bathrooms. Bathrooms are providing a shower or bath tub or jacuzzi, sink(s), toilet, hair-dryer, magnifying mirrors, towels, bath ropes and free toiletries.
Do I need to carry my luggage?
During reception hours a porter is happy to help you to bring the luggage to your accommodation.
Is there anything other than the accommodations at Homoki Lodge – Nature Quest Resort?

What to bring?
It is recommend to pack resistant clothes for comfort rather than style, but one nice outfit for musical evenings will be acknowledged.We strongly advise you to be equipped with one pair of resistant shoes.
A small bum-bag is useful for having a camera etc. to hand.
Free toiletries, hair-dryers, slippers, bath robes, and towels are also provided.
For horse riders – Hard hat, comfortable riding trousers, Riding boots (well broken in) or ankle-high multi purpose ride/walk boots work well.Bandanna – it can get dusty during the summer months.
Long sleeved shirts.
Camera, spare batteries and charger.
Any medication you regularly take.
Travel insurance documents.
Lightweight rain coat (rain is possible at any time of year).
Swimsuit & Flip-flops are also useful for walking around in the garden or at the spa.
Sunscreen only without carotene additives!
Other Useful items include a Hungarian phrasebook, travel alarm clock.

For cooler Months, March-April, Oct –Nov; Jumpers and fleece or windproof jacket
Shorts – for afternoons when not riding (for warmer months Mai-September)
Are pets allowed in the resort?
Pets are permitted at Homoki Residence accommodation.
Is there any WiFi connection in my accommodation?
Yes, you will find WiFi, but note that Homoki Lodge is in an exposed location and the connection is via satellite. Note that a connection via satellite might be disrupted due to weather conditions and provider delays. You are kindly asked to use this service at a fair use base. Of course it’s free.
Is there any Satellite TV connection in my accommodation?
Yes, you will find Satellite TV in your yurt and not in the rooms of Homoki Lodge, but note that Homoki Lodge is in an exposed location and the connection is via satellite might be disrupted due to weather conditions and provider delays. Of course it’s free.
What happens in case of bad weather?
If weather conditions are not met (hard rain, wind, fog, too much snow) Homoki Lodge will offer weather corresponding activities.
Where is the sauna area?
The wood fired sauna area is at the Homoki Lodge in the garden and hosts of 4 people, a cold water plunge pool day bed and a shower. Towels are provided in your accommodation at your disposal. The sauna is a mixed and heating needs to be ordered in advance.
